You might have seen the first, somewhat vague trailer for this movie, but now Sony has released the first ‘real’ trailer for 2012. Man, will my fascination with apocalyptic movies be well fed this year! Coming from the director of Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, Roland Emmerich, 2012 will be another spectacular movie.

An academic researcher played by John Cusack leads a group of people in a fight to counteract the apocalyptic events that were predicted by the ancient Mayan calendar. Other members of the cast include Amanda Peet and Chiwetel Ejiofor

The releasedate for the movie is set at November 13th of this year.
