Microsoft has taken the concept of the Wii and improved it! With Project Natal they have created a motion detector for the Xbox 360, giving it the same capabilities as the Wii with the quality graphics of the Xbox 360.
The big difference with the Wii is that Natal tracks the movements you make with your body instead of a remote. Furthermore it is capable of recognizing and tracking multiple persons so multiplayer games are possible. With additional capabilities like voice and face recognition, custom texture scanning and mapping, video chatting, and all sorts of use-your-whole-body gameplay applications it will be taking the Xbox 360 to a whole different level. Check out the video. It has a little Minority Report vibe to it, doesn’t it?
Unfortunately there is no release date yet.

Yeah, as i posted on my blog, it will be a total smackdown to Wii if it works as well as they say it will. I am still skeptical that it will actually work as well as they said it will.

Thats what I think too. Superior graphic quality and no more peripherals needed… I agree that the movie still looks pretty fake though. Let’s wait and see!
Sony has also announced something like this by the way.
